Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013

A review: I always really love the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It's so over the top and the production values are insane and the designs are usually really creative. But the last few years it's been lacking a bit and this year was more of the same. Inventiveness, I suppose, is hard when you're only working with a modicum of fabric. The Pink line felt like a county fair had set down right in the Ukraine. The Parisian Nights looked like everything we've ever seen from a VS commercial. Ship wrecked started out strong but took a weird turn with the color palette. But Snow Angels and the British Invasion were great fun and A Great Big World on piano was just beautiful. The set design was excellent. I really loved the tunnel opening upstage and the gorg glittery runway was so expansive a small plane could have touched down. My biggest gripe remains: you can't even buy half the shit you fall in love with!
